Sweet Recipe of the week! This is my new favourite breakfast recipe that takes less than 20 minutes to make. Have a go at kick starting your day with my tasty Good Grain Bowl!

Servings: 1 (556cal)

The ingredients involved in this are all too well for the gut, that's why I love it! It's incredibly fibrous and Vitamin B rich with the oats and quinoa. As you can see, I topped this with slices of half an apple and half a banana (I save the other halves for the next day). I also added coconut flakes and almond butter for some healthy fats. For some extra sweetness as well as to make this a protein rich meal, I added my favourite vanilla protein. Check the recipe below and start your day a healthy way!

For me, starting my day with a nutritious dense meal is such a crucial part for me to continue to have a good day and have a great spike of energy


1/4 cup rolled oats

1/4 cup Macro Organics Tri coloured quinoa

1 tsp Macro Organics chia seeds

1 scoop vanilla protein

1 cup of Macro Organics unsweetened almond milk (if you want fewer calories, use water instead)

Toppings: 1/2 apple, 1/2 banana, Macro Organic coconut flakes, 1 tsp almond butter


In a saucepan on medium heat, add your oats, quinoa and chia seeds with your chosen liquid. Let this simmer until you have a nice fluffy layer of bubbles on top. Add in your protein and whisk together until well combined. Turn heat to low and let simmer for 5-10 minutes, whisking every 2-3 minutes. When ready to serve, your oats and quinoa should be nice and smooth, with still a crunch to your quinoa. Pour into a bowl and add your toppings of choice!
