Sweet Recipe of the week! Try out this delicious, rich brownie that will definitely help you satisfy that sweet tooth you get at the end of your night.

Servings: 12. 283cal per serve (1 slice)

I tried a serving of a box set brownie and thought it was pretty delicious. Since then, I’ve been craving a dark, rich and fruity brownie so I thought I’d try to make a cleaner version! This is a gluten and dairy brownie without any refined sugars and some zingy berries for taste and topping! I have such a sweet tooth and I love ending a night with something dense. I love dark chocolate so this is definitely my new favourite recipe! I served this with some dairy free ice cream. You can pair it with a delicious berry coule just by simmering some berries in a saucepan until a runny sauce. It soaks into the brownie and it’s the best thing yet.

I love anything rich and chocolatey and making a cleaner version of that is just as fun as eating it!


1 1/2 cups tapioca Flour

1/3 cup raw cacao powder

3/4 cup coconut sugar

3 large eggs

1/3 cup coconut oil

1/3 cup almond milk

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/8 tsp salt

20g dark chocolate bits

1/2 cup mixed frozen berries (topping)


Preheat the oven to 180 fan bake and grease a brownie tin of your choice.

In a small bowl, add your eggs, almond milk, sugar, oil and whisk until well combined.

In a separate large bowl, add the remaining ingredients and create a well in the middle to then pour the wet ingredients into. Fold until a delicious, smooth brownie batter and pour into your greased tin.

Bake for 10-15 minutes. This will leave your brownie crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside. I highly recommend this, otherwise you can leave it longer until your liking.
